They say cats ruled the land long before humans did. If you can even call us that. Due to exposure to the environmental pathogens, Humans here have developed a mutation that makes them appear more cat-like. Our diet mostly consists of fruit and fish caught in the crystal clear river. But farmers have been able to cultivate other crops and raise domesticated animals that were brought to the land of Muffin Milk long ago. By whom you ask? Some say when the ship crash landed on Muffin Milk they had animals inside. Others say that animals like the cows appeared from the sky in a beam of light, gracefully coming to the earth. Early settlers knew how to care for these animals, but as time passed the knowledge that was once well known started to disappear. Less and less cattle were found. Until recently when a farmer who held on to the old knowledge found one near his farm. He took it home and took care of it. Next thing you know he has a small cow farm. Sometimes they go missing and other times they multiply. The farmer doesn’t think too much about it.

The cats love the farmer, they help him keep the pest population down as well as keep company to the cows. They are very adaptable and supportive. I mean they adapted to humans crash landing on their homeworld. We give back twice as much as we receive to appease the cats. As for me, I created my home to be a cat sanctuary. Cats come and go as they please. Freely eating and relaxing in spots they feel nice and cozy. They are our neighbors and we coexist in the same space. I know some may find it strange that I have cats as pets, but I raised them since they were kittens. I found them when they were abandoned and hurt in the forest. I took them home and nursed them back to health and they showed me so much love, as if I was their mother. And they have been with me ever since. They are not like the cats that roam and do as they please. The cats on this planet have their own language they communicate with, not with speech but with actions. Both Leo and Chester either don’t understand or don’t seem to care much. Probably because they are pampered and treated like royalty here!

Thanks for reading. Cows are a mystery here in Muffin Milk. Actually there are many mysteries that Lucy and Tora wonder about. Will they be able to discover all thrushes? I do have a short comic I drew a couple years ago pertaining to cows. I will include it soon in this post.
